Oak Leaves and Acorns

Was able to finish with this
mini embroidery project!

Truly enjoyed every bit of it. Choosing the design, tracing, selecting colors,...

...embroidering it, and documenting with pictures.

What a delight to work on this oak leaves and acorns stitchery...
loved stitching with
Presencia perlé cotton size 12!
(Excellent customer service at Presencia America.)

(Notes: pattern from a Japanese embroidery book.)

Feeling Fall

I love the beauty of autumn!

Even if it means that my fibromyalgia
will exacerbate often.

This is when self-encouragement & motivation become important.

Keeping well nourished spiritually and
having cute simple hand embroidery
projects at hand.

All the pictures above are from these two Japanese embroidery books.
I even started stitching a small motif from one of them already!

Presencia Finca Perle Cotton #12

Happy to have add these bobbins of Presencia Finca Perle Cotton
size 12 to my
embroidery thread stash.
I have personal reasons to be partial
to this brand (lots to do with how beautiful & vibrant the colors are, very satisfied working with size 8 and ;-) the 1/3 of Spaniard blood in me).

Having a color card with actual samples of the thread colors is so helpful!
Which reminds me that I need to add some other colors like: brown, teal, gray & beige.
Now patiently looking forward to
some free time in my schedule
to try them out.

This pair of Scisoroo scissors were sent as a gift by a very generous lady.
Thanks so much Ms. R.!
They are lovely and so well made!

PS: I've ordered Presencia
size 12 directly from the
company.

Darling Dachshund

My oldest dd was able to finish her darling dachshund wip into a softie rattle -that also squeaks, for her baby sister. She even wrote a sweet note to go along with it! Once her baby sister was up from nap, dd presented her with the softie and read her the note. Baby girl was so happy & grinning especially after dd finished reading her the note, (which made me think she must have understood what was going on) it was so sweet to presence such a beautiful scene!

Above are "in the making" pictures of the darling dachshund and below of dd's crafty space, which I believe I may have posted on a previous entry.

She's already making plans for her next solo project. We also have plans to continue our alphabet samplers SAL plus we'll be starting Barney Park stitch samplers (by Charlotte Lyons) soon, more on that later.
Great end of week to all!
Until later!
